 Rise from the Fall ...

   The Future Revival of    Sri Lankan Cricket...




😊 Cricket is a popular sport in Sri Lanka. Cricket has been our national sport since our country won the world cup in 1996 ❤️. But recently, the Sri Lanka cricket team has been facing continuous defeats. It's a sad thing for us as a country 😥. 


Why did this happen?🤔 



The first reason is the instability within the team. Regular changes to players and captains is also an issue. What happens is a breakdown in the unity of the team. Even if there are talented players, they lose matches due to a lack of proper training and mental freedom 😕. 



Another critical thing is player's discipline and physical fitness. To contest internationally, you need high discipline and good health. But some of our players lack interest in that, making it hard for them to perform on the field 💪.


 However, there is still time to rebuild ⭐.For that, a selection panel prioritizing talent should be appointed, along with coaches 👍.


 I'm truly happy to see batsmen like Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, and Kamindu Mendis performing well in the 2026 T20 world cup 😍. Especially, Pathum Nissanka also set a record by becoming the first Sri Lankan to score 200 runs in an ODI ❤️. This is a remarkable achievement 🥰. 


However, if they continue to improve their discipline and fitness, we have the capacity to become the world's leading cricket team again in the next few years 🏆.
